How do I Drain an Intex Easy Set Pool?
An easy way to drain an Intex Easy Set Pool is to take a garden hose and disconnect it from the tap. Remove the cap from the drain valve on the outside of the pool wall.
Attach the female end of the hose to hose valve. Place the end of the hose in an area where the water can be safely drained. A lower point then the pool water level like down a hill would be best if possible.
Remove the drain plug on the inside of the pool. Water will start to drain immediately.
If you still have water left in the pool because the water is below the drain valve, you may have to use a sump pump or a shop vac to remove the remaining water.
Disconnect hose adapter when finished. Replace drain plug on the inside of pool for storage. Replace drain cap on outside of pool.
Be sure pool liner is completely clean and dry before long-term storage. You can also sprinkle the inside of the pool with baby powder to add a nice smell and get rid of the last bit of moisture if you are planning on storing your pool for the winter.
Storing Your Intex Easy Set Pool
Store the pool in a garage or some place out of the cold and the snow. If you are careful with the take down, storage, and re-assembly your pool should last many years, probably longer than if you left it up year round.
If you are draining your Intex Easy Set Pool because it was lopsided, make sure you level the ground completely before you refill your Intex Easy Set Pool or you will have the same problem again.
